Default Swap. Change alternator or just plugs?

Will an obd-0 alternator work on and obd-1 system at all? (Both are B-series.) The wires look identical going to each of the alternators but the plugs are a different shape. If I clipped the plug off of the obd-0 alt and soldered on an obd-1 plug that should work fine, right?

Yes the alternators are directly interchageable? Or yes, it will only work if I change the plugs?

Yes, the alternator will work, but you will need to change plugs.
