ok guys I was on my way back from work when this car wanted to race me and I down geared/ down shifted on him..after that my battery light inside the car the lighted on? what does that mean? did my battery move or something? I don't have a battery tie down right now, I exited and checked my battery and battery connection and they are still on the battery? What would of cause that battery light to stay on and what does it mean?

 

your alternator is probably bad, that the only time my battery light came on

 

yeah the battery light is a dummy light telling you that your alternator is going out
