Default WARNING: STUPID QUESTION!!!

i know this is a retarded question but i would want a definite answer .... here goes ::flame suit on::

what would happen if you took off ur front sway bar? is it possible for the suspension to act normally? or would you just have maaassive body roll?

reason i ask i have a theft-recovery itr and the handling just isn't great. haven't checked under the car to check if i actually have em buut it just feels very loose, nothing like what i expected. my friend who had an itr before it got stolen even said my car feels like ****, and he recently drove a 98 itr stock everything, w/ 130k miles and said that car felt totally awesome, nothing compared to mine.

now my suspension is stock itr not blown shocks, no suspension mods except a cusco front lower tie bar and a jdm rear tower bar. i'm planning on getting the jdm itr f/r sways, but just incase that doesn't alleviate the problem, what can I do to make my car handle like a real R? would alignment affect the overall feel of the suspension if it were slightly off?

if a suspension is designed to work with sway bars then it would have substantial lean and not feel very solid in the corners.

it is possible to design a suspension with super high spring rates that releaves the need for sway bars. just depends on what setup you like.

have you checked your alignment?

It's possible that the thieves ditched/wrecked it and messed up some the suspension components. I'd be sure to take it to an alignment shop and have it checked out. Good luck.

i agree on checking the camber/alignment cause if the only thing that is missing is the front sway bar it should not be a huge difference in handling

not having a front swaybar would make the *** end want to step out. its a trick i learned from drifting.

well it seems i can't do an alignment at a shop because of liability issues. I told them two bolts for the upper control arm to the rear body arent torqued down correctly. the thread on the body seems to be f*cked because try all i might, the damn bolt wont go in flush.... theres about 4 millimeters left between the body and the control arm. soooo i ordered some new bolts from acura hoping that maybe the previous owner tried putting on wrong ones... i can only hope... currently everytime i go over a hard bump the arm hits the body and theres a loud click.. can get pretty annoying while driving over train tracks.
