Default How to ID 88 CRX Si tranny????

Hey guys I will be looking for a 88 Si tranny in the next few months. I will be building a tranny for RR the REX, with Quiafe, 4.7 FD, and new clutch and flywheel. So I know the splines ate different and I think the bearings are different. So how do you tell just by looking at them?

Best I could tell you is that mine had a gold sticker with L3-xxxxx (x being the numbers). Didn't know how many numbers followed the L3 though.

why would you want an 88?? the spline is oddball sized compared to all other years.

btw, im going to be swapping trannies in a few weeks, and i wont have any use for my current 88 SI tranny. but id still want $125 plus shipping from west coast for it.

I have an 88 now and I figured it would be cheaper to snag another 88 and pick up a few "sets" or axles for the car. Plus my plan like I said is to "slowly" build the tranny to H4 or IT specs. The car may never make it to a full race car but, it will be/ is going to be whored out on the track with both me and my father driving it as soon as I get to group2 (which should only be one more event)

PM me when you want to sell that tranny.
