Default 2.5" exhaust catback, axleback, muffler, cat

While I'm waiting for my damaged good claim from ups and for ups to return my broken head, I'm trying to figure out my exhaust situation. I had originally planned on a complete 2.5" exhaust. but have been told by several people that it isn't neccessary. Anybody have any input on this? Anyway, is there any pre made catback exhausts for an integra that come 2.5" and not 2.25? If there isn't any catbacks, is there an axleback? I'm looking for a factory style muffler along the lines of an es oval, apexi ws, or comptech. Also, when the exhaust goes on, the engine set up will be, for the time being, ls/vtec with spoon itr pistons, skunk 2 intake manifold/itr throttle body, b16 head with stock valvetrain. I'm planning on using a dc 4-1 with jdm collector.

What kind of cams will you be using?

I think that a 2.5" exhaust will work great with that setup. I wouldn't get anything smaller than 60 mm.

I think the only choice at the moment is SMSP custom 2.5" exhaust, it has an OE look, do a search on it. The problem with this exhaust though is it's not a bolt on, it requires welding.

it's never "necessary" to get larger piping...you could run stock piping if you'd like, as long as everything bolts up fine, then it wasn't necessary. Now, if you're talking about making the most power possible, depending on what mods you have, 2.5" may be better than 2.25". If you plan on running big cams, get the 2.5". Better to do it right once then getting 2.25" now, get big cams and then 2.5" later. Also, DC JDM 4-1 = 2.5" collector....2.5" collector into 2.5" hi-flow cat into 2.25" exhaust piping = restriction. if you're already planning on a 2.5" header, might as well get the 2.5" exhuast. the only bolt-on exhaust that large I know of is the Kakimoto 70mm. All stainless all the way back. Contact mafay2 on here to find out the pricing. It's pretty much about the same price as all the other brand name bolt-ons.

The Kakimoto R 70mm catback will bolt up to any non-TypeR Integra without modification!!
You can IM for price and more information.
