Mugen Front Lip Installation on 94-97 Integra
Does anyone have instructions for installation of this lip? Overall it fits great, but I am having trouble where the lip connects to the fender wells. It seems like it is about 1/16" too short there, causing the sides to bow slightly.
Driver side:

Passenger side:

Front view. The emblem was not installed to prevent theft/vandallism.

Thanks. Notice that there are no holes in that lip.
Here is a picture of my lip on the car in Japan. It's hard to tell from the image whether the lip sticks out slightly at the fender wells.

maybe your lip is fake...? i don't know cuz my lip is a "mugen style" lip where you just bolt it on top of the stock lip... mines is a fake i think, so it doesn't fit right, but it'll do for me!! remember, u get what u pay for. lol
It came with the metal emblem (as seen on the silver car) but no papers or instructions. I would think that it is real, considering that I imported it from Japan. Besides the fender wells, the fit is superb.

Even, even if it WAS fake, for whatever reason - i'd just like to say that is the CLEANEST fitting "aftermarket" lip for ANY 94-97 integra i've ever seen.
Try heating up those edges (heat gun?) and applying some pressure to see if it "adjusts" to your bumper. Bumpers tend to change shape over time, even by as little as 1mm per side

thats a clean lip, maybe it was supposed to come with the OEM thin weather stripping to cover that gap?

It came from a Japanese auction. It was about $270 shipped from Japan. The shipping alone was about $100 because it was big.

The bumper was on the car. I'm thinking that I may need to separate the upper and lower bumper, install the lip, and reassemble the bumpers.

Thanks. It was a rare item on a Japanese auction. There are not many round light Integras in Japan. I have never seen one here besides the one I have.

I still need help with the installation. Am I overlooking something, or do I need to shave the lower bumper?
DA JeLLie, do you have insight on this?

lookin good
i think its just fine unless you're annoy by it then you can shave a little bit of the bumper like someone said to make it fit better.
my type-r lip i bought from jdmshit had a tight fit almost like that.

Take the Bumper off, and try re-installing. I would have said use a heat gun if it is plastic, but not anymore, since its painted. I would say if it doesnt work to install the lip on the uninstalled bumper, then you might look into shaving a slight bit of the bumper.
I loosened the screws in the fender wells, pushed the lip inwards, and retightened. The gaps have be halved.
I'll try cycling this over the next few days. This thing is going to fit like a glove.

No. It fits over the lower bumper.

this is why it was recommended earlier to install the lip with the bumper off the car..

Do you have the installation instructions for your lip? There may be a trick, like separating the lower bumper.
