I just got a 98 Integra. Whenever I'm at any speed, I hear a strange noise coming from the front of the car. The best way I can describe it is as the sound of a radiator fan...but louder depending on speed. The faster I go, the louder the sound gets.

At first I thought it was the tires. I rotated them and even put on a completely different set of tires that I KNOW don't make noise and it didnt' help at all.

It makes the sound IN gear, In Neutral, with OR without the clutch pressed.

Could there be anything in the brakes that would make a noise at speed?

Any other ideas on things to check? This sound is really annoying

 

That could really be anything man, look under the hood if you hear the noise in neutral and try and figure out where its coming from...

 

I also forgot to add something... whenever I turn the wheel to the right..even slightly...the pitch of the noise changes. That could be my exhaust hitting the floor because I have that problem too... I don't know if this info gives any more clues...

 

could it possibly be the input shaft bearing?

constant noise all the time (clutch engage, clutch pedal not depress)= input shaft bearing

noise only when clutch is disengage(pedal depress)= throw out bearing


When I had the car I don't recall any major sounds coming from the car... nothing unusal atleast that sticks out in my head.
Course I always had music blaring
