Default Timeing problems

Hey guys. I have an ef8 crx. heres the problem, I was in high revs the other day and i think my cambelt may have skipped a few notches thus putting the timing out. It wont start, it turns over but doesnt strat and was wondering if you had any idea on how to fix it?....

Have you check to see if the cam marks on the gears are on or if there off? Check the timing marks on the crank pulley also. Thats probably what your problem is. If the its the cam gear just loosen the tensioner and line them up put the belt back on and your ready to go. I am pretty sure this is some type of write up in this forum. Good luck

why would you need a timing light? isn't that for the distributer only?

sorry it took me so long to reply i am having car troubles. Speaking of timing i have had to do this 5 times already basically what you want to do on your crank pulley there are three marks they look like this lll l on your pulley on your cover there is a pointer you want to line it up inbetween the three lines on your crank pulley set your cams also i believe there are marks on it if its a sohc it says up and there is a notch on the crank pulley you line that up with the deck of the head. If its a dohc you do the same. As for the three lines on your crank pulley thats how to set your car at tdc. Then when everything is buttoned up and ready to start. Start your car then bust out the timing light
