2000ek , removing side molding....
im assuming i have to take my fenders off to get to the first molding , and the doors for the second correct? the car has no rear interior so im not worried about that , but can i get a step by step for the fenders and door panels so i dont expletive it up!
If you take them off you be left with holes remaining from the clips keeping them in place. Or you could do a color match witch I think look's pretty good. So no excessive body work is needed. When you take them off be vary careful not to break anything. The clips should come out with the moulding.
Good luck .
Good luck .
I would push the tabs/clips out from the back. Might take more work but its better than worrying about scratching your paint.
For the front, just take off your fender and pop it out from the back.
For the doors, just take off ur door panel and roll the windows up and pop out the tabs from inside.

if you open the front door up slightly, you should be able to get to the fender moulding by using thing long nose pliers(sp?),
i wouldnt use a flat head, dont risk scratching that paint..!!
as for the doors, pop off the trim, and remove from inside out as well, there is a 10mm hex nut thingy on the end of the door, but the rest of the moulding is clipped in.
the rear, you will need to remove the rear side trim, start by removing seats, then the various bolts and pull trim off, carefull easy to crack, but its just clipped on..
and yeah, again, use pliers, un-clip them from inside out.

really?
pretty straight forward, there is a screw for door handle, off that, pull out the door handle, there is a screw holding the door opener handle thingy, off that, pull that off,
unclip the electric window switch wire plug / harness...
then start from the bottom, pull the panel out, pull it hard, (dont worry wont break it...) to unclip the panel from door, then unclip the sides, then the panel should just lift upwards...
