Toda cams for te b18b?
Do you guys know if Toda or Jun make cams or valvetrain products for the LS engine? I wish not to go w/ a company such as crower, skunk 2 or some of the others that use reground cams. Any help or suggestions or other companys would be appreciated.

crower
they aren't regrinds anymore
the 403's are a good cam.. the 404's are more aggressive... lope @ idle.. and require head workd, valvetrain, and high compression pistons to get the most out of them

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend the Crower 403's. I have i/h/e the 403's with cam gears, no headwork or anything else. Look at the time in my sig.
And I've never heard of Toda making cams for the b18a/b.

out of curiousity, are there any other manufacturers of cams for the LS engine? most people have said good things about the Crower but there have been a few reports of issues with them so I'd like to know if there are any other choices. Of course I may just do a head swap and then there are so many more choices heh heh

Yeah, I hear lots of good stuff about Crower. I have the wuss "turbo" 402's in my car. I like it.
Just make sure if you go 403 or above, you need to get their valve springs/retainers. Even the 402's recommend them, but say they're not absolutely necessary. Of course, since I'm the cheapest person in the world....that was music to my ears.

anyone have any dyno plots of the crower 403s? I'm kinda game for 'em. Just wanna know if they keep makin power after the stock rev limiter (i'd prolly get springs and retainers too cause i gotta hookup)
Well I wouldn't push your luck for making power above redline (7K). If your lucky though torque maybe peaking right about there, so ya I guess it would be making horsepower as long as the torque wasnt falling to quick. You have to remeber that 7000 rpms is a pretty wide range for a single set of cam lobes to make power. Thats arguably the VTEC loons main point.

(if i go much over 7k i'm gonna get a block girdle)
Crower's dyno of the 403's have them peak at about 6,500 rpm and make power till about 7,200-7,500. Their dyno is at http://www.crower.com check it out
