Thats a tough one man, can you crank the car and it will run or are all of the cabin electronics removed as well? If the car still runs and has decent compression, I would buy it if you are just after a project.

I looked at a flood Z28 about 2 years ago though and nothing in that thing worked right anymore. Windows, half of the gauges, plus it straight stunk inside but you should have that problem since it was all removed.

and what better way to learn than to rebuild this car from the ground up for little money. I would absolutely buy it if I had the spare cash. I wouldnt buy it if you had plans on being able to drive it in the immediate future.

Bad ******* idea. Water damaged cars NEVER stop having problems. There will be a corrosion buildup on just about every wire and connector.

But it must be worth it since it has a body kit and exhaust right?

Oh yea, that would be a great way to learn, well learn how to hate everything about cars very very fast. This car will have electrical problems that you cannot even begin to fathom.

Man those pics are hideous, I can't tell **** from them but I will agree that if you do buy it, derice it, and make it into something, you will know your car inside and out.

I will also stick to my previous statement though that the only car I ever messed with that was flooded was a train wreck and I wouldn't want to try to fix it. It boils down to how much are you willing to do to fix it because it is going to be a lot of work!

Figure out how much you wanna spend (time and money) to make it what you want. add that to 1000$, then compare to the book value.

AND! What is your point? It is still learning. LIke I said I wouldnt buy it if I had even a REMOTE thought of getting it on the road anytime soon. If it never runs well **** at least you had a car that you didnt need to get on the road because it wasnt your DD. IF you do get it to drive, then you can take great satisfaction in knowing that you fixed that **** your way from the ground up

For 1000 id buy it. It's pretty much stripped already so it wouldnt be hard to clean up and start building.

God damn.

OK iam guessing you all are pretty low budget.

humm if the inside is gutted and the motor runs with no codes

whats about 2g's

for new carpet and seats and have all the wires and ect under the dash cleaned and cheaked by automobile electrician or honda or somthing.

also its a known fact that if a motor ir completely submerged under water it will run

as long as you change the oil, tranny fluid and clean the whole motor and take off the head and spray with carb cleaner and spray carb cleaner in the intake manifold. basically just make sure everything it cleaned and if anyhting is rusted soak it in some diesal fuel...

i think since this is a 97 and is in ok condition for a project car i think i will take it because from what iam looking at to put he the way i want it it. a couple g's to replace carpet and seats and ect.. i mean damn what else does a 17 year old witj no bills spend money on.. i personally like it..

If i take it to get the wires cheaked out then iam snatching it up..
