Default Cheeper brands of gas?

OK I have always gone to gas stations like mobile, exxon, sunoco and this other one with the green and yellow flower which i cant remember the name...But, not that i am being cheep but, just curious..I have seen other gas stations with prices lower than the brands i just listed...Now a while back a friend told me its not good to go to those stations to get gas. Is their gas not as clean/harmful in anyway to our engines??? What is it?

Grocery stores have cheaper gas because it's older gas. A buddy of mine bought a tank of gas at the local safeway, and had problems the entire tank with starting the car. Getting a fresh tankful at the local Chevron fixed his starting problems. I'd stay away from that cheap ****.

FYI- I go to shell for my gas. I know its the prices are insane right now, but its better to pump that fuel through your system rather than say....quick-e-mart or something cheap like that If gas is a bad thing for you right now, just get a mountain bike like me and use that for means of transportation LoL Dam those corporate gas ********

I believe that at first, it is all the same gas from the same refinery. Then once the gas is sold from the refinery, it is pumped to each individual gas station chain's holding tanks, where they add their proprietary additives to their fuel to make it burn cleaner. Then it is delivered to the actual gas station where the consumer purchases it.
