I'm looking into getting little bit more top end out of my y8, something that will make it feel little bit better until I get my motor in. I was wondering if I can use a jdm d15b cam. I searched, couldn't find ****. I remember from a while back someone said you can run it, but you need to use a adjustable cam gear to make it work. Can I get any more input?

Yes, you can run it. No, you do not need an adjustable cam gear to use it.

 

I dont think you need a cam gear to run a stock cam. If you get the Zex cam youll need an adjustible. If you get any upgraded cam its better to get adjustible.

 

well here is what I found out, the cam is 4 degrees of (I'm not sure retarded or advanced). Some poeple say that runing a cam gear that comes with that cam instead of y8 cam gear should fix it, but I'm not going to do it until I know it for sure. I want to hear from someone who actually done it.
