Well here is a story, my friend lives in the trailer park and there is a guy with an accord that is flat black with a body kit and altezzas. I parked my integra outside and we were standing there talking and he drives by and tells me about how the "Vader kit extends the body of the car forward and backwards."
The intake is going to get hot, it is next to your motor, it is not going to significantly change anything.

I'd say rice but not that bad, if you like it then get it <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by verbol assassin »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">a better vent would be a backward vent, facing the windshield.</TD></TR></TABLE> You didn't click on the link did you?
the filter is sucking air from down in the fender well so ur intake shouldnt be sucking hot air or getting hot hense the name "COLD Air Intake" its not gonna make a difference...you'll benifit more with Just the carbon fiber with the weight reduction....Keep it clean ...but who cares its ur car man do what you want as long as ur happy who cares what people think!

You're right that its not going to make a difference. But he stated that his intake gets hot.....meaning that he could very well have a SRI....and not a CAI. Unless you know him or have seen him post that he has a CAI
The hood may look ugly sitting there by itself, but on some cars it does compliment the body lines too. It all depends on the "look" the person is going for. I have one on my teg....and its not that bad when coupled with the JDM front end
. But to each their own.

DAMN i wish i had that hood for both of my cars. SIGNIFICANTLY affects the cooling abilities of the radiator. no, it won't really affect intake temps, but it seriously helps get rid of hot air flowing through the radiator and also seriously decreases the tendency of air to go through the radiator and exit under the car, causing lift, especially on the front end. so, benefits = better cooling, less aerodynamic drag, more frontal downforce. downside? attracts more attention to theives. that's probably the biggest reason i don't have one. one day i may put one in with a little cutting and bondo and repainting, though.
Actually it makes a big difference. Search vented hood in the ITR forum. Austrian Type R had one on his turbo ITR, and when an oil line burst, you could see the lines on the hood where it was coming through the vent. It was releasing the trapped air under the hood, and hence the oil came out and followed the flow of the air.

Honestly I never thought I would say that either.
when i finish my turbo kit i sm grtting one. but im also going to paint it. not a big fan of the carbon fiber hood look. but i like the hood

save up a lot of money and snag an air induction research carbon fiber intake manifold.
what's up 90 degree temps. Other alternative, rig up a small dry nitrous shot in front of your filter for a cold air charge
