so i sprayed that gunk engine degreaser in my engine bay (not on the distributor-covered it) and let it soak. then washed it at the car wash and let dry. now it has a little bit of valve knock. im stumped. anyone know how this can be cured? i just need some advice. i want this thing to run great!

 

is it misfiring?

 

if it truely is your vavles ticking get them adjusted

is it at all possible some water got by any ingition part under the hood, aka dist. wires plugs, because water by a spark will short the current and does somtimes sound like a valve ticking
