hi guy i just bought a ef sedan 2 days ago and it has a jdm d15b(not vtec) in it, it has idel problems when i turn it on it will run fine for about a minute and then start jumping and allmost die and it will keep doin this and ill finaly turn it off...i cahnged my idel control valve but it still does it ...guys got ne ideas on what it could be? i say vacume lines but how would i check them?

 

when you changed the idle valve did you disconnect the battery,it is an electracal part this procdure has to be done

 

did u make sure there wasnt any vaccum leaks?

 

do you have any cel's

 

iam not sure if it was disconected but iam 90% sure it was ...iam geting the tool frum work (candian tire) to check for vacume leaks but untill then anyin else i can check?? sorry iam a newb what do you mean do i got any cel's?

should i be rasing my idle speed?? cuz i installed the new idel control valve and i dint touch the screw and i dont even got a rpm tach i have one but is not installed help me out guys i changed the pcv valve and tightended up some hoses and changed some clamps but still nutin and i check all hoses and plugs on the intake mani but its the jdm motor so mah haynes book isnt really helping
