Default Positive Terminal Cable for the Battery

The OEM clamp for the + terminal on the battery is messed up from taking it on and off to much.

I want to change out the clamp so that the blue/white power corrosion will stop forming. I put vaseline and that battery grease stuff you get from AutoZone, doesn't help.

I've already changed out the ground cable and I want to do the same exact thing for the + terminal.

Is there anyway I can change out the clamp with something else?

If not, can I change the whole cable?

Yeah might as well just buy a new cable. They're not expensive and they should be changed after bad corrosion like that anyways.

I've got about 5 pairs of terminals for sale--$10 shipped a pair. Let me know if you want a pair (for positive and negative terminals).

If you need help with installation, I'll walk you through it.

Every once and a while its nice to pour a baking soda/water treatment over your terminals, this will clean up the corrosion and kill the acid buildup on your terminals. After it dries apply that stuff from vatozone and you shouldn't have any more corrosion.

But if the cables are that bad, replace them and use those felt washers they sell along with the goop.

Hope that helps.

the stock terminals are shitty, especially if you do work on your car and you gotta remove them.. they stop holding after you remove them a dozen times or so... that bolt stretches everything out

i always replace those on any car i have and put stable ones that grab and hold the battery terminal really well... never had connection issues at the battery whatsoever. did it on my accord, did it on my VW, just done it on my civic last weekend...

I'll send you two terminal covers along with the battery connectors. Those should take care of the major corrosion issues you are experiencing. ANd yes, to clean the terminals, baking soda and water solution will take care of it.

Whichever way you decide to go, good luck!

Just buy some thick audio cable and a good set of battery post connectors. All grounds and battery cables are now replaced with 2 guage (i think) cable with good connectors. Idle quality increased right away and the old connections/wires weren't even bad!!

PS - Ken, yes, Darth Vader is gonna have to force choke a bitch.
