well...I MIGHT decide to sell my D16Y5 if i get the right money...has 140K on the engine. perfect running condition. daily driver. I don't know though, since it's too much of a hassle to take out the motor and let that thing sit in my dad's shop and start calling around for a different engine lol. located in SoCal 951

that's cause they came only in one model civic that wasn't THAT popular.

SOHCwarrior, i was in the market a while back for a d16y5 head and possibaly a d16y5 longblock. Most people that you're going to get this from cheap, they have HX's and they swap other motors in there. Or they do a d16y8 or d16z6 head swap. If they put a different swap in their car, they sell whatever they can, and usually someone locally scoops up the block for about 150 bucks.

your best bet is to find a d16y5 head and intake manifold and ecu. I know of people that have all of those. And then find a d16 block. You can chose from d16a6, d16z6, d16y5, d16y7, d16y8.
you can use a d15 block but you'll need to get an adjustable cam gear cause of the d15 block / d16 head issue.

I was hoping to get one from someone swapping for a fair price, but I need the whole motor because I want it for a daily driver and get it ber'd so I don't have to worry about
