ECU trouble ! Please help
I've been having iddling problems and have spent alot of money fixing the problem with no luck.
And only a few days ago i finally found out the solution, its my ecu!
I have a B16B motor and it came with what i asume is a Ek9 ecu and i tried looking on PGMFI.org

I tried other PCT ecu's with no luck even a Mugen & Spoon ecu and still the iddle problem exist.
I then tried on a P72 ecu, and viola, iddle is normal again.
My question is p72 ecu should be for a B18C, my b16b is manufactured in 1999.
So how is it that a B18C ecu fits my car?

the P72 ECU will work well enough to run the engine.it's mapping isn't ideal though.the fuel map is set up for the GSR's IAB system, and is much different than a standard style intake manifold map.
the rev-limiter is too low for the B16B.
the VTEC engagement point is too low for the B16B.
the ECU you have is the proper one for your engine.
it's just a coincidence that your idle problem stopped.
what exactly is the idle problem you're having?have you tightened the FITV?cleaned the IACV?checked for vaccum leaks?bled the coolant properly?any trouble codes?

I tried about 5 diff "PCT" ecu's and it all had the same problem.
My iddle problem is that when i turn on the AC or sometimes off. The iddle will drop to like 500rpm and lower until the car almost dies and then jumps right up to like 1500rpm and down again.
in the morning the car just dies a few times until it is warmed up.
I tried the following:
-Clean out TB
-Clean out IM
-Change to a few diff TB
-Cleaned injectors
-Check voltage
-Adjust iddle screw
-Installed FICD
No CEL codes.
How do i check for vacuum leaks?
What coolant do i bleed?
And what is FITV and IACV?
I made a short video clip with my phone and it plays on real media but i dun know how to link it, mabe someone can help me post it up?
