Haven't had any problems with my gsr swap, had a cel come on once and while but it always went away when i turned the car off. This morning it was raining and I started the car up and there was a CEL from the begining. I drove and realized when I go past 4k rpm i stutters and "pop pop pop" and won't go past. I pulled over and checked connections and drove away and havent had the problem since. Any ideas?

i had the same exact issues years ago in my old 88 crx. occassional CEL, and while the CEL was on wouldnt go past 4200 rpm, just sputter and spit like a rev limiter..... ended up being very dirty fuel injectors

i bought some good fuel injector cleaner (STP) and put it in once. The car ran worse for about two weeks, i never had a problem again for the next 1 1/2 yrs i ran that engine.

give it a try. could always pop the injectors out real fast and look at the tips, spray em with brake clean or something...

 

hmm...so it ran bad when you added the stp injector cleaner?
