how to re-assemble rear deck?
two weeks ago, i got into an accident on the interstate. not my fault..
anyway, it's been at the shop for 2 weeks and i finally got my car back today.
since they had to put on a new quarter panel for the left side, they removed my rear bench, left rear quarter glass, rear glass, rear deck (the shop refers to it as the "rear deck." it is the piece of plastic that holds the rear speakers and the lock for folding down the rear seats), and the rear left interior panel. they used to do a really good job, but seems like their work is getting worse. there are many gaps on the rear deck where the few pieces of plastic meet. you know how there are these black coloring that borders the glasses (not the run channel/trimming) to hide the panel gaps? well, they used some kind of black adhesive to seal the edges of the rear deck, which the black border around the rear glass couldn't even hide the black adhesive.
it looks so ugly cause if you stand close to the rear of my car, you can see the black adhesive sitting right on the edge of the deck. they told me to take my car back next weekend so they can dress the window trimmings bc it's dicolored when they masked the car for the paint job. so i'm thinking of having them remove those black adhesive and try to weld the deck without the black adhesive. anyone knows what can be used to seal/adhere the deck to the car? just imagine how your driveway looks with those black thing to deal the gaps. that's how my car looks like now. ugly! thanks!!!
