Default Uneven stance, rubbing, shredding HELP eeek!

So i took off my sleeved coilovers and gave H&R Sport springs a try.
The drivers side is LOWER than the passenger side for some reason... I think the reason the reason for this is because the coil didnt settle on the shock "notch".. In the picture im my finger is against the end of the coil so you get an idea of how much space between the shock notch and end of coil.
Would this spacing effect my ride height? My passenger side coil is firmly against the shock notch...

Drivers side: Only 1 thumb fits

Passenger Side about ~1" of more space

Because my drivers side is too low my tire rubs bad against the protrudingunibody sheet metal. As a temporary fix i removed the splash guard in the wheelwell and hammerd down the some metal . It helped a little but still no dice.. It still rubs when i turn hard to the Left i believe.

Bashed inner drivers side fenderwell w/ plastic removed:

Un-bashed inner passenger side fenderwell (toward cabin) pointing to the plastic where the unibody sheet metal protrudes from:

Comments & Suggestions Needed please
Im running 17" wheels (not sure on backspacing or width) with 205/40's. Before i had coilovers lowered to about 1.5" or so and no rubbing

I guess it could just be that

- drivers spring is sagging
- thats just the way the cookie crumbles with my cars suspension

This sucks

I know this question comes around too often..

Tomorow im gonna adjust the drivers spring so it seats properly, but i doubt thats gonna do anything.

I'm pretty sure im gonna extend my tophats and throw my coilovers back on b/c this **** is just rediculous!

Weight is not evenly distributed on our cars. The motor sits more to the driverside so it's gonna sit lower on that side unless you get coilovers and have your car weight balanced. I have the same problem on my car, but I'm on 15's so my tires don't get near that nasty metal.

Thanks for the reply.

I figured it might have to do something with weight.... Arghhh now i gotta throw on my coilovers for the front, but first i need to find some scrap top hats so i can extend them with tubing and my welder... WTB!! lol
