New Member. Just bought '92 Accord Wagon EX. Clutch chatters at times
Howdy there. I'm your new neighbor.
Just bought a 92 EX Wagon. 5 spd. 125,000 miles. Fairly clean.
Clutch chatters at times. does not slip yet. Think it will need to be replaced soon.
Can the flywheel be resurfaced or is it better to replace it?
Should I go OEM or are there better parts out there for these older Accords?
I intend to just drive this thing.
AC was converted to 134. Does not cool that well in the hot Georgia summers.
Had compressor and drier replaced.
Get 23-24 mpg/town. 30+hwy. K&N was worth 1.5 mpg.
Also bought a 92 accord ex 5spd 4dr for my son. 230,000 miles. Engine rebuilt by Honda mech. friend of mine. New clutch on this one. Needs Struts.
Both cars are great overall
Thanks for any replys/suggestions.

when replacing clutch ,,resurface flywheel do not replace it, there are different good brand on non OEM clutches out there , compare prices, as for the A/C r134a should still cool in the mid 40s i am in Arizona where it is 100-110- in summer and 134a still cools well...u might be low on freon , heater valve might be misadjusted
As for the 92 accord struts, install some KYB gr2 ,

Heater valve??? Where do I find such a thing. Is it under the hood inline with the heater hose?? Or is it the control valve in the dash??
Freon has been checked numerous times. OK according to stealership where my friend used to work.
Can't get parts at his cost anymore.
He quit the dealership 3 weeks after I bought the car. Bummer.
Thanks.
