Default What's the plug look like on a Stock Si Distributor???

So here's what I got on my plate now.....

The guy I bought my CRX off of called me and said he had an engine harness that came with the car. There was a ZC in it that the kid pulled out of and sold it to my buddy without a motor and he sold it to me the same way. He said the harness might work for my D16a6. so we tried and it seemed to be wrong. Had a x-tra plug by the Dist. plugs for the Cam Sensor? (is that right?) and one of the Dist plugs was like square and the other one was round.

Now, the Distributor on my motor came off of a 89 CRX Si( which is what I have) and it has One Big Round Plug and another Smaller Round Plug as well. Even the smaller of the 2 plugs is bigger than both of the plugs on the ZC harness. NOW we're not 100% sure if it is the Dist we think it is cause it was layin with a bunch of parts in a barn that ALOT of people go in and out of. We don't know many people with Si's around here that we could look off of to compare.

So can anyone give me a description of a stock distributor? Will that ZC harness work and we have the wrong Distributor? Or is that the right dist and the ZC harness simply won't work on a D16a6?? Thanks Guys...

first of all the stock distributor on a si is round, yours is going to be square. what u need is a wiring diagram and cut off that square one i went through the same thing. dont touch the small one that should plug right into the stock harness.

Why do I need to cut stuff? This isn't a motor swap or anything, just putting a bone stock D16a6 back into a CRX.........So we should just be able to plug in the right harness to the right distributor and go. We just weren't sure if we had the right distributor or what.
