Default Forced Induction Possible?

Hi,

I'm going to be getting a Civic Hatchback and would like to eventually get it to run low 14's or even high 13's would be awesome. Anyways, would an engine swap be necessary for this or could it be done with some form of forced induction (I don't really want to use nitrous but what about a turbocharger/supercharger?)?

Thank you!

I think there's a forum labeled "Forced Induction."

Also, a simple search would come up with hundreds of results... Honda's are turboed quite frequently.

This would be the wrong forum for "Should I turbo my 91 Integra"

If he's referring to the 02-05 Civic SI Hatchback, then this forum and/or the Forced Induction section are both legitimate.

There are some turbo kits readily available as well as the Jackson Supercharger kit. The Race version is $3100 (with the Hondata K-Pro, which I would recommend), and the Street version is $2200. Jackson Racing shows the Street trim to make about 175HP and the Race trim 225HP, both with basic bolt-ons.

Okay, thanks. So a turbo and some bolt-ons would get me the times that I'm looking for?

Yeah, and there are plenty of turbos, swaps, mods, etc available.

yea, any boost kit should be able to put you in the 13s... however, you do not seem to familiar with motors, and forms of f/i, therefore, it might not be such a great idea for you to do this... many turbo kits require lots of attention and maintenance.... but if anything, id go with a greddy turbo kit, or a jackson racing supercharger street kit... just my 2cents
