? about vapor barrier and glue
My vapor barrier in the front door is missing so i'm making new ones...
The existing glue is hard to remove. Anyone know an easy way to remove the glue?
Also what kind of glue do i need to install the new vapor barriers?
thanks

i would use a strong solvent like acetone to get it off, maybe get some 6mill poly and some caulk, silicon based. All this is at homo depot.
ended up using a gasket scraper to get the big chunks of glue off. Used rustbuster and a rag to get off the rest. Took about 4 hours to get all the glue off.
bought vapor barrier used for wood floors at home depot. It's 6 mil and comes in a 4'x100' roll. It's thicker than the the original vapor barrier.
held off on the caulking because i got a different plan to get it sealed
Boosted Chemist thanks for your help
