noise is comin from the front, not to mention a bad smell earlier today, i wasnt driving it that hard i dont think? so im pretty confused, no problems ever before. smell .... sorta like burnt rubber but it wasnt, comin from under the hood, noise goes away after the 3500 rpms, and then you can hear it again when you get up to about 6. like i said, sort of a soft clanking, but definitly noticeable. any help guys?

no, because a rod knock would be constant and progressively get louder the higher you reved. id say check you engine mounts, axles, front suspension, exhaust system for stuff rattling around.

Thats the ticket check the heat sheilds around where the shifter is and then where the exhasut mani meets the y pipe.
