Removing Intake resonator

A guy I talked to has a 1996 civic ex and he removed his intake resonator and it sounds really good.

I was wondering how hard it is to do this on a 1997 honda civic ex (d16y8)

Also, what tools would I need??

Same way. Move the mudguard and you just half to remove a few bolts. Thats how i removed it from my sisters 2000 si.Just look at it. Its kind of easy.
