car is a stock VX, with EX tranny and my shift light is fluttering so i decided to wire a vtec (vtec-e, actually) light. all the info ive read told me, connecter A pin 4, green/yellow, VTEC solenoid. and to tap into that one. so i check, and its orange/white in my car. so i look for green/yellow wires on THE SAME PLUG and come up with this:

A7: green/yellow
A8: green/yellow

further down:
Green/white
yellow/green

wtf?

The A4 wire should be Orange/white. Either way, wire it to the A4 wire.

 

I did this mod years ago, just tap into the solinoid.
