Default Help on messed up wheel

i have a 91 honda crx with an ls swap, and the other day i went to the track and i put on my slicks well whenever i dropped it back to the floor off of the jacks, i started to tighten the wheel when all of a sudden the whole wheel started moving forward. i was like wtf, the wheel was already touching the ground and as i tightend the wheel with the ratchet the whole wheel would move forward then back. does any body know what could be wrong with the wheel because the other wheel doesnt do this. please help. thanks

You mean the entire car moved forward, or just the wheel?

how far forward?

Take the wheels off and compare each side, see if you find something missing or damaged.

Check to see if your suspension moves as well, sounds like maybe the crossmember bushings are bad, or the bar is not tightened in.
I recommend a aftermarket crossmember (traction bars) if you haven't got one yet.

yeh, my guess would also be a worn bushing or loose suspension bolts, vary possibly a cross memeber. maybe your wheel bearing is broken...

Is it clanking when your drive?

could be a bad tie rod end, i would look at that before anything else. jack that side of the car up and try wiggling the tire from left to right and check for play.
