ok so heres the deal, the custom header i paid for cracked once already and its starting to crack again. its the metal itself thats cracking not the welds.

so now i want to make one and im looking for some help. i want to make a stepped header, 4-2-1 with power up to 8500 peak around 8k. my full setup and current dyno can be found in my signature. im also looking to add forged pistons ~11.5:1 and rods as well as a p8r head (33mm intake valves).

currently my header is 1 3/4 stepped to 2" for the primaries and a 2.5" collector. i was thinking 1 5/8 might be better coming off the head fo a little more low end.

any input to design ideas? ground clearance is a must for me so i was thinking of something SMS style.

oh yeah i plan on doin mild steel since i dont want to mess up my first time with SS
