Default Random overheating problems....

I'm running a 1/2 size fluidyne radiator in Integra with a pro form slim fan. Got everything hooked up right, and its running correctly. I dont have an a/c fan hooked up. Normally the coolant temp is stable and below the half mark like it should be, but today it started randomly overheating, and also the a/c stopped blowing cold. The fans are working and everything, and it still overheats, even when I'm on the freeway. I actually have to turn on the heater to keep the temps stable, and its hot as hell here in California. I pull off the freeway, pop the hood, and the fans are running like they should be. Coolant temp is good, and it stays good. So I'm guessing my fans aren't turning on when I'm on the freeway??

when it starts to overheat, check the upper and lower hose temps with your hand. Be careful as they can be very hot. If there is a big temp difference (lower hose is way hotter than the upper hose) you may have a bad t-stat. Either that or there's a restriction somewhere.
