94 civic strut question.....

Default 94 civic strut question.....

my friend has a 94 civic ex. he just installed springs to make his car lower. he still has the stock struts on. the back left one is sqeeking when he hits bumps. anyone know why?

first make sure its tight, if the strut blows then it will not compress right and it will give alot of play and just bounce up and down and you cant ever make it tight enough... Get some new struts....

Does it ahve an play in the actual strut? can you pull on the bolt?

your rear strut is squeeking because for one they are old number two you just lowered so the strut is kompressed even more than before and its constant just replace all four of them adjustable if you can afford them youll be alot happier.
