I bought my 97 accord at the end of summer and the rear passenger side door would not open....I ended up taking pliers and pulling up on the lock while pushing the unlock button.....that keeps it unlocked....so now when I lock my car it wont lock that back door....also the door wont open from the inside at all....I turned the child proof latch off but it still is stubborn.....Is there something that I am missing or is there a trick to doing this stuff?

Also when I lock my car doors from the inside like 10 seconds later it makes the noise that is locking and it will go on and off every once in a while....its more of an annoyance than a problem.....anyone have anything like that happen?

 

i have the same problem. i cant open the passenger rear door from the inside.
I took apart the door and i found out that i had a little plastic that holds the hook to open the door broken. i havnt replaced it though havnt had time maybe thats ur problem

 

Maybe I will take my door apart then....though its hard to find a place here at college....anyone else have ides?
