Any girls on the site?
My name is Renee. I have a 1.9ltr LSVTEC engine in a 91 civic hatch. Currently my best time in 14.0 @98mph. My goal is to get my car to hit high 12's all motor.
What's every else body running?

BTW your not in a cruising bar, if you want girly babe get to the side of the track. Here there are Racer talking about racing, I think a girl running a Performance Hand Builted Engine is not one you'l catch with Lighted winshiels nozzle and single wiper convertion.
BTW Renee do you got any pics of your ride??? what are the mods.

My car has not been tuned either. If your intrested in looking at pict of my car, check them out. I have HX wheels since these picts were taken. http://www.collectiveracing.net/members.htm
My car should hit 13's here in Tucson and possibly high 12's in Phoenix eventually. I ran 14.0 in December at SIR. Since that I have put racing suspension and a new throtlebody. So the car should easily hit 13's. However it has taken to PMS when ever race day comes around. It has an electrical issue. We've been trying to trace it down for quite a while. Last friday the car ran 14.2 on my first run, but it felt VERY slow. And, 15.2 on the second run, it shut off twice on the strip. So it is fast. But, not fast enough yet.

We ran it a two times. That day the pressure plate seperated from the tranny on the first run. So the next pass I missed 2nd ans 3rd gear. Had to get the tranny put back together. Finally got to the track on March 1st. Now I have an electrical issue.

so, first what the brand of the trottle bodies and shock,
will you get some slick someday&???, I trully recommand them, they add a lot of traction.
any Nitrous in that or forced induction or you are in All motor cathegories???
any of the two option over will get you in 12 easy.
see ya

I do run with slicks, Mickey Thompson's. I have a prelude throtlebody that has been bored out. It's from Eric's racing.
I don't belive in NOS or Turbo, so neither are on my ride. It's more fun all motor. Besides, I love to see the v-8's cry when they can't find either.

turbohatch, animatd, 14.0 is slow huh? SIR is at 3100ft elev. your friend with the built lsvtec hits high 13s in pasadena? thats more like mid 14s here at SIR. theres an .8 difference between sea level and 3100ft. so renees car would have run mid to low 13s in pasadena.
Thanks DR-R. That is true. Running at this elevation and temp. the cars are aprox. .8 slower than at sea level. If I were to go to Pasadena my car would hit 13's even when it's PMSing. If it was running right, it might hit 12's.

wooooow, 91lsVtec, Please say that you don't Use any Turbo or nitrous but at least don't say you don't believe in them, If so you never tryed them, I tell you they really improve 1/4 mile time, Nitro when used in right moment, only with 55 hp jet setup, can stack you in 12sec ½ run. But I agree I don't use turbo but got Nitrous, and I was all motor befor the nitrous, i think I will get rid of these, begining to be really colsty to get the botlte filled. Anyway, all motor is really a fun class, it's really like if talent can make something. I mean, you don't need to have any talent to hook up a Zex nitrous kit, NOS is a nother thing. but building an engine need reflexion, research, application etc, it's a good way to show your good work.

I agree, my trap time should be better. I was running stock suspension at the time. I was spinning the tires in first and second gear.
Since then I have put suspension on. My trap speed has gone up. Last clean pass I had was at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix. I was running street tires that night. But, I ran 14.5 @100MPH. My car hooks up ALOT better now. But, it's running very slow times. My car seams to have a short some where. It usually only acts up at the track. But, it shuts off while going down the strip. So this is a huge factor for the trap times.
