b&m bad for trans
i finally got my b16 up and running and the guy who helped me do the wiring said that the b&m short shifters are realy hard on your trans and that third gear will be the first to go is this true or not. thanks
IMO it is a myth. I have had a short shifter on my 91 civic for 5 years and the trans still has no grinds. Granted it isn't a bm shifter but I feel the driver is more to blame than the shifter.

Not true.
The reason "short shifters ruin transmissions" is because the jerk shifting thinks that a short throw shifter means he can slam it into gears faster thereby ******* up the syncros.

i've had my B&M for about 4 years now, and i have never had any problem what so ever, and i have never heard of anyone else having trouble, the guy who helped you do the wiring is douche bag.
