I just recently bought a skunk2 head package and i was wondering if the flat valves needs machining to install or can u just simply put them on without machining on the edges of the valves? thanks much

you need to have the valve seats and the valves cut then lap the valves with a lapping compound to gaurenty they seat if you cant do this yourself then just send the head to a machine shop they can do it for you
