Default Just another day in the life of....

Just another day in the life of.... ME.

ok so here is the deal. I have had the car over 2 months now, I have installed a stereo about 1 1/2 months ago. That was the only change to the car.

Now all of a sudden im driving along and the gauge cluster stops working, and the clock turns off. Now all the lights, turn signals, wipers still all work. So I check the fuse's and they are good.

Swap ECU's and still same issue.

so I pull out the gauge cluster and start testing grounds. Seems to be good for the most part besides one ground wire. So I cut it, and splice it into another ground wire. The clock light turns on now.

NOW THE CAR WONT START. so i check all fuse's again, nothing. After i calmed down a bit I figured i needed to pull my head together. Thats when i noticed that when i turn the ingition i dont hear the fuel pump kit in.

So i check the voltage comming out of the gauge cluster which goes to the relay for the fuel pump and its getting 9 volts, when the key is turned.

Thats where i have stopped. I guess the relay could of went out? I have civic that ill try swapping that with but I was just checking to see if anyone else had any grand ideas? thanks

The battery isnt dead, the car still turns over. Im thinking fuel issue though. If sufficient battery power is their, you should be able to hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key.... i think.. well i do in my civic.
