don`t know what forum to place in but here is the question do you primer the sheet metal before the bondo? and also do i primer before undercoating?

 

no man dont primer before the body filler...the filler...make sure you use a coarse rolox wheel or a coarse grinder and grind off the paint or anything where the filler is going...the filler will hold better to the metal this way...this is only for a bigger area where you are fixing...very small dents or door dings...you can actually put filler on top of the paint, as long as you also sand the paint with a coarser grit sand paper...But my one per peeve, and i see it all the time with people that try to fix their own stuff.....PRIME THE BODY FILLER...dont drive around with exposed filler...if any water gets in the filler and sits...its ruined..all that work for nothing...so make sur eyou prime whatever you have when you are finished....and i would probably undercoat last...any other questions feel free to hit me up..good luck man
