i just recently bought a cf hood from vis racing and was wondering if i really needed hoodpins or not. I dont like how they look on hoods but i will install them if they're needed.

 

When I got my c/f hood, I wondered the same thing. I got pins because I didn't want to find out that I needed the hard way (i.e. having my hood pop up, smash my windshield/fly off/dent my roof/etc.). There are many people on this board that fun c/f hoods without pins so I'm sure you could get away with it if you really don't like the pins. If you decide to get hood pins, maybe you could spray them flat black so they don't show up as much. I'm thinking about doing it to mine. Later.
