I have a CX and when i bought it, one side on the front has GSR, the other has CX brakes. Im gonna swap GSR brakes over to the CX, cant i just unbolt the caliper bracket and bolt it to the CX hub assembly and then change over the rotor as well. im trying to avoid having to pull the whole assembly out cause that would be a mess i dont need tomorrow.

Yep, you need the whole GSR/LS spindle to use those calipers and rotors.
