Default Seafoam and yes have been searched....

ok i am confused some people say in the search fourms that they have used seafoam and have drained the oil. Some say that they have kept it in the engine.. Yes i put it into the crankcase and ran it though a vaccum line and about a little under a 1/2 in the oil. So i don't want this stuff to mess my car up! My car was smokin before i did all of this and hopefully this stuff can repair it. So another oil change or no???

yes, you need to change your oil, the seafoam will breakdown the oil overtime and it will lose its viscosity...

seafoam breaks down carbon and buildup, i doubt it stop smoking due to leaky valveguide seals, or worn piston rings...you might be better to try some bars-nosmoke.

You are supposed to mix it with your oil then let it run for no longer than 10 min AT IDLE. Then immediately change your oil. You could cause permanent damage to your car if you drove it with the seafom mixed with the oil seeing that it will breakdown the oil. When I put it in the crankcase I never drive the car until all the smoke is completely gone either. Most of the times I have to let my car idle for a good 30 min for that to happen.

This stuff can work wonders if it is used the right way, from the sounds of it I don't think you did that.

Obviously you didn't search too much seeing that there is an active thread about seafom right now that you have already posted in.

ok then we'll i'll change the oil tommorrow but one question, why isn't it on the bottle. I mean they should get sued for some **** like that like the do's and don'ts of using that stuff. The only thing that they have on there is how to put in the engine, and make sure the car is in a well ventalated area. THAT'S IT!!!!

You can do whatever you want, but for me it sits until all smoke is gone. I have a few friends that are Honda technicians and they all do it the same way, so I will listen to them and you should to.
