Rear Suspension knocking noice
99 integra LS
Omnipower coilovers, used for 3 months, 5k kms. Lowered 2.5" in the rear.
Megan racing LCA, lower strut bar.
So yesterday first frost hit us, was a bit cold outside and it snowed, I started my car after it was for maybe 8 hours outside, release the ebreak and the light stayed on. Ok, I drove like that, 5 minutes after it went off, I guess the break just froze a bit, but it didnt slow down a car at all in neutral
Then I keep on driving and start hearing this weird noice coming from rear passanger side. Got home, took the wheel off, checked if anything is lose, nothing, all good. Raised the rear by 1", drove for a few minutes -nothing.
Today, drove again, started knocking again after a while, got home, took the wheel off, checked everything even better, no bolt is lose, released top mount bolts, took the coilover down, everything looks good, top mount isnt cracked. Released the bolt thats holding the shock itself, on both sides, both seem to be the same, put everything back together, and drove for a bit, then it started knocking again.
It sound as if I had a brick in my gas tank, when I hit little bumps it sound like its rolling around.
Now my friend had the same problem on 01 sunfire GT right after we installed his tein basics, his top mount cracked, he said his shock got shot, so he got some new parts from GM dealership.
Where is this noice coming from? It might be the exhaust, but the exhaust (APexi WS2) makes different knocks, and I know what those sound like.
