all 70 honda cup and real time pics from laguna (56k no-no)

ok on pic # 70 something there is a pic of the #11 S2k with an exhaust pipe hanging out the rear, why didnt somebody hit this and pinch it shut. It should have been done on shear principle there should not be anything protruding from the car like that
I do understand angling it away from the sound meter, but there are much more innovative, effective and tasteful ways then this.
-Casey who is thinking that a 90 degree turn that exited under the bumper would have been alot safer, better looking and just as effective

That's Richard's car....Me and him were having tons of problems with sound, and it's not like there's a muffler shop around the corner, we had to work with it on a tight timeline... you think he likes his exhaust like that???
The home depot one on mine worked for me but didn't work for him so he had to get one from a ghetto truck muffler shop near his hotel...
BTW he is not the only one with one like that. Bottom line is time was tight we had to do what we could.

Regardless thats a damn safety hazard if you need a muffler that works gimme a call. I surprised they let him out on the track with that.
Grand Am went from 118-119 to 103 with our mufflers, it can be done and it usually doesnt cost a whole bunch if you go about it the right way

Why dont you chill out and stop flaming and just go camp at the track next time with a box of piping and a welder.
IMO the wing would scare me more if something should "happen". That thing becomes a giant sword the likes of Japanese Anime havnt even seen flying through the air.

first off it's tubing i dont plumb houses, 2nd i made an observation and evryone always bitches about sound so im offering a solution, 3rd it is a safety hazard, and i have been told by multiple hc guys that if leave a tailpipe anywhere near my bumper there gonna close it up.
either way i think it's pretty funny looking
FYI thats a good idea a rolling fab business that goes to every race event could make some damn good money doin that

well casey your not going to run the WC GT vipers off the road and they had 3ft extensions out the side.
And I run a burns muffler on my street car with a cat and it does exit under the car and it's an all stainless exhaust and it still barely passes sound I can only imagine at higher revs.

Thanks for the sweet picts, i should be doing my "inter personal communication" homework, but i'm captivated by laguna seca.

same deal sir anything protruding from a car that far is not safe IMO. Anyways if your barely passing sound check to see if the packing is still good or maybe your car just needs a slightly longer muffler sound attentuation had a direct relation with muffler length. My point being of this whole rant was safety and pointing out there are more effective ways of decreasing sound. At tracks with sound regs like Laguna we usually recommend to turn the exhaust exit away from the sound station for added insurance
for got to say nice pics sir

I don't see how its a safety hazard. Its as much as a safety hazard as the hundreds of benen tow hooks hanging out front and rear bumpers.

how do you not see its a piece of large diameter tubing protruding from the rear bumper that is possiblly quite high in temperature?
i guess it's safe and i never said the benen one's weren't
