Default Cant bolt in Flywheel cover - just did auto to manual

some type of bracket is in the way. anyone know if the flywheel cover is important?

also, the header bracket or stay mount is rubbing against the axle. So i need to purchase a new mount for a manual car.

Update: Pics

That stupid bracket is in the way.

Another pic of that stupid bracket in the way.

the braket you are more than likely talking about are the support brakets under the engine connected to the tranny, the dust cover goes under those, if you look at the cover you will see two larger diameter hole then the rest. thats where the 17mm bolts go through. BTW what car is this for?

i'll try to post pics.

this is for a 96 integra.

auto - manual conversion, so i guess something isn't fitting right </TD></TR></TABLE>

sometimes you have to tap it alil to get it to fit in all the way, are you useing the manual one?

take a picture, there shouldn't be no bracket by the flywheel where exactly is it attached to?

p.s. -- just making sure, did you buy the longer bolts for the flywheel, the auto ones are too short.

if i remember correctly i drilled some new holes into the auto flywheel cover to make it fit.

also that bracket that comes down off the block there and is somewhat L-shaped is not necessary and most people leave them off

one is pretty easy to remove, but the other i think you can sqeaze around the exhaust manifold, but i think you need to take the second part off(b-pipe i believe). the bolt sizes should be 12mm, and 17mm for the brackets, for the cover bolts they are 12mm and 10mm bolts, and for the b-pipe they are 14mm nuts.
