obd1 and ob2 question

obd1 and ob2 question
i am thinking bout swapping in a b16. i have a 97 civic and is obd2. i was reading that some poeple are converting there obd2 to obd1. i read places that obd1 is better to tune on than obd2 what is the diffrence?. im real confused bout all this anyone clear it up for me thanx
