I just dropped in a b18c1 into my 97 civic hatchback. I am having an iacv problem now. Im getting the engine code for it 2. The part is working and i wired it up but for some reason im still getting the code and when the car is warm the enine speed decreases or stall all together. Anyone had this problem before?

 

Sounds like the part isn't working all the time. Happen to have a spare one out of a buddy's car you can swap in?

 

no i dont have a buddy with a spare. and that part is pretty pricy.

 

Please check to make sure that you didnt mix up one of the harness plugs? It happened to me when doing my b18c1 swap. I blamed the iacv at first.

 

i checked all the plugs and there were some that were mixed up but iacv didnt even have one. I had to do the three wire-two wire conversion tho. ive checked that two and they are the wires i was supposed to use.

 

Did you pop the wire & pin out of Plug A14 and put it into plug A12? When I did the IAC fix at first I didn't do that and It didn't work for me either.

 

Hmmmmmm... I didnt try that. Would i Have to do that even if i have the odbII-odbI conversion harness?
