Wondering if any of the installers know the build quality of R/T boxes. Just got a new sub to replace the shitty 10" I had in my car. Figured if it's not a great box I could always have one made.

Also what does it mean if someone says they use PAC components in their crossovers? Is that just a brand? good/bad?

RT boxes suck ***
youd be better off having a carpenter build you a box out of 1"MDF or bigger

My couz had an RT for a while then he upgraded to obcon what a difference man

box is a major part of the system.

Call around look on craigslist find a woodworker and have them build you a sick box,
I did my own enclosure in my 4runner to fit 3 12" kickers and it was Sick dizzle beat any RT box and cost me only 35 bucks in supplies
But I wouldnt suggest it unless your good at math and woodworking skills

Quality doesn't seem that bad, it actually seems better than the obcon bandpass I pulled from my car.
Figure if I am not happy with it then I will just have one built, only reason I bought the box was for the sub anyway.

Oh and I have had mtx, rockford, kicker, jl subs in the past. This mmats sub is badass. Very clean bass
