Default type r ecu

hi guys...i was wondering if a 00 or 01 type r ecu can run in my 2000 civic si....i heard that the type r's have like a lock up mechanism for the ecu's where only the key could start it up....but just wanted to know for sure b4 i buy one....

It won't make you any faster. There is no reason to get one.

oh....then would converting too obd1 and using a gsr ecu help any....

actually it will make your car slower, there was a recent post of this, might want to search up on this one
