How come everybody that is all motor HATES skunk2 cams with a passion.....???

 

Cause they are idiots.

 

because there old cams ruined alot of valvetrains, and people dont forgot about that kinda stuff

one of my good friends has the Skunk 2's, they make good power, but I dont trust the Quality

 

I don't hate Skunk 2. I'm happy with the stage 1 cams.

 

I know a lot of people up here who are using the Skunk cams and are running really good times and power numbers. A local shop called "Barber Racing" does a lot of skunk work since some of their workers and customers are from Skunk (group A). One of their drag tegs and civics hit 11.8-12.2 on Sat with some good power. Also they have that type R (SVP 12.5 all motor) coming out soon with a new setup.

Also at Dynospot we have done a lot of tuning with them on various customer cars. Skunk, Jun, Toda, etc... are all good cams if you use the correct setup with them.

 

I hear the tq #'s really suck though compared to jun's and toda's

 

I got sprayed by a skunk once..it really sucked!

I won`t touch their susp goods, but I`m hearing decent gains w/ their cams.

well my friend who had them was making decent Peak power, but his torque was kinda low 129-130, on 11.3 compression I believe, but not 100%

 

your right...that's what Chris told me anyways

 

I have 193 whp 136 tq with the stage ones. Stock compression.

 

i just hope that there is no incidents with there new cams stage 2 and 3 , but maybe with time we will tell.

FAST94GSR wants to suck the ***** of the skunk2 ppl, so not EVERYONE hates skunk2.

do you mean "everybody" as idiots or "skunk2" as idiots? heheh...

in any case, skunk2 take care of their customers. as i repeat for countless times, everyone who got the 1st batch of cams in 2000 which wore their rocker arms pad out received replacements. no skunk2 cams EVER broke into pieces. crower, toda, JUN all broke before.

skunk2 coilovers suck? 95% due to bad installs. do they not work? my delsol will keep up with just about any honda's on the track. I've driven TEIN's, JIC's coilovers, their street versions, honestly I don't feel they're worth the extra money performance wise.

and just so ppl know, I sell their stuff. but it's because they're good. ppl that know me know i don't BS. if something works better sells for cheaper, i tell 'em. it's your money. u wanna be a jdm ***** go ahead. nothing wrong with that except i get the same, sometimes better performance and save some money.

because some people are idiots and only go by what certain people tell them instead of researching this. THe best way is to learn from your own experience instead of someone elses

 

well TOPSPEED a very reputable company advised me against the skunk2's and toward toda/jun/CTR anything but..basically lol

they have run every single grind of Toda/JUN/Crower/Skunk 2's

the only cams they have not yet run are JUN type 1, and Skunk stage 3's

I think that TopSpeed was not saying the new batches are junk, only that they have had better Dyno numbers, and think the overal quality of TODA/JUN/OEM are better than the Skunks thats all
